Exotic Planet
Exotic is perhaps one of the most distinct Planets in Astroneer, with its violet atmosphere and dense forests teeming with Artifacts. After Barren, it is the world with the lowest gravity. Caves are scattered around the whole planet. Every type of resource is present in Exotic. They are not far from the surface, but they distributed slightly more sparsely than in other planets. It has a wild planet generation and, as a result, the player might land on area with certain resources appearing common than others, and the remaining resources appearing farther away from the landing zone. Hazards like Exploders and Spikers can be also found on the surface outside of caves.
The average time it takes for a day/night cycle to pass is 13.5 minutes.
Resources
Exotic has a unique resource generation in which it chooses which resource to become common, while others will become rare. In other word, exotic has random resource rarity.

- Hollow Hills: An erratically generated zone with large spans of hill and giant hollow cavern areas
- Mushroom Forest: A forest of tall growing mushroom, a great place to start exploiting massive amount of Research Items
- Exotic Savanna: An expanse of gigantic Ferns growing around. Also a great place to start exploiting massive amount of Research Items
