Atrox is a Radiated Planet in Astroneer. It has a choked, greenish-yellow atmosphere with a surface that is made up of dark hills with luminous acorn-shaped rocks, deep yellow ravines, and shattered mountains, making it very difficult to traverse with rovers. Flora on and below the surface of Atrox is deadly, which includes Attactus, Spewflowers, and Wheezeweeds.
Small safe patches tend to form inside valleys between the steep plateaus. Glowing irradiated fog can be found hanging low to the surface, which despite its appearance, is harmless. Valuable Research items and Research Samples can be found on the planet, with the small samples underground between 400-500 and the larger samples yielding upwards of 2500 Bytes.
Notable Resources[edit | edit source]
Atrox has no notable resources, however, four gases can be found on the planet.

Gateway Network[edit | edit source]
SPOILER WARNING
Information below contains information that may ruin your enjoyment of discovering the game's secrets for yourself. Proceed at your own risk. |
Atrox has six Gateway Chambers, each requiring 30U/s of power for 30 seconds to be activated. At least one must be activated before the player can access the Gateway Engine in the core of the planet. Once a Gateway Chamber has been activated, the Gateway Engine opens in the core. Placing a single Atrox is the only planet that requires an Atmospheric Resource to activate the Gateway Engine. |
Notes[edit | edit source]
- Since the planet has low wind and sunlight and an abundance of Organic sources, the best source for power would be Medium Generators or the RTG.
- Atrox is the only planet that has Helium
- Atrox is the only planet that requires a Gas to activate its core
