Spire

The subject of this article has been removed from the game in an update.

As of version 0.4.10221.0, Resource spires are no longer in the main build of the game, these are done as a part of making resources in Astroneer non-renewable.

Spires in Astroneer, also commonly referred to as geysers or resource nodes, were slowly regenerating fountains of resources that could be harvested using the Terrain Tool. They were indestructible features of the world and could not be mined with a drill head. There were two types of spires: small single nodes that provided Oxygen or Power and larger aggregate nodes with two interaction vents that provided Resin or Compound. A typical spire would yield almost 3 stacks. Spires would typically regenerate fully after 1 full day
