I'm proposing for a category to make it easier for me to start making Navboxes for Tier-1: Items, Resources, Small module. Tier-2: Artifacts, Printed modules. Tier-3: Buildings/Modules, Vehicle Attachments
Currently because this wiki is so new making templates for the future is a high priority. Some already exist, but need to be refined and some things like a help menu for the bottom of this page in particular would be nice to navigate the site and keep things more fluid.
Also creating a TODO page with everything listed. I am currently looking at other gamepedia wikis to see the best way to handle some of these things. If someone else is experienced with Templates please let me know and we can work more closely. -- Crychair
I just registered with the goal of creating a page for the all the Probes you can find in the game, since there doesn't seem to be any available. Is that a part of the TODO, or something that has deliberatly been left out of this wiki (spoilers?)? -- 1ifemare
@Crychair: No. I did check that page, but it only contains generic satellites. There is a substantial list of historical probes in the game (Mariner 10, Kepler, Voyager, New Horizons, Hubble, Sputnik... and i'm probably forgetting a few more). -- 1ifemare
@lifemare You would be the first to do this information. Feel free to make sections in the Discoveries page to list each of these out and include media. If you would like more help setting this up, just ask. I would use other pages like Power and resources to see how to format your pages correctly. Good luck :). We are currently in the process of making a TODO page. That will become more apparent shortly. Crychair (talk) 16:19, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
@Crychair: I'll get busy. New to this wiki biz. Editing this page was probably not the best way to discuss this, but i'm unsure what other means to use. Go ahead and edit out the conversation, if you see fit. Thanks for offering your help, i may indeed need it ;) -- 1ifemare
Are we following the wiki convention of only linking the first occurrence of a word in an article? I really appreciate all the linking people are doing but I feel it makes the article very difficult to read when it has a ton of repetitive links. Let me know and I will make sure the linking is cleaned up as I go through with language editing. -- DayStar EbK
Yes, I feel that linking only on the first occurrence of word is a good convention. It may however be hard to enforce with anonymous that won't probably read this and just think it's a good idea.
I think this is overall a good idea, but if you have a very long page, ex. [Power] Then it might be a good idea to link things again when starting a new section instead of making the user search at the top for a link. Crychair (talk) 22:12, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
