The Beacon is an item that can be used to mark a location on the planet. It is visible even from far away through its color mark. The color of the beacon can be changed among a range of colors, in order to differentiate them.
Due to the fact that the Habitat, Vehicles and other players are marked already from a distance, the only purpose to use a Beacon is to mark an interesting location that isn't near any of these three things. However, the beacon is visible from farther than these three other elements, which gives it a better visibility.
Crafting
The Beacon can be crafted in the Backpack, using 1 Compound. It has 1 attachment point.
Multiplayer
The Beacon will emit a low ping sound to all of the players in the game when placed.
